This is the first one out of the garden and it was most delish.

I spent yesterday getting ready for next month's Art Walk here in Toledo, I am introducing the $3.00 print. 4x4 inch printed with Clarion ink...which will last more than your alive, on heavy index card stock paper. I grew up collecting baseball cards and thought it would be be cool create some of my own. I have been busy thinking of creative ways to print things so that people can afford them. I also have 3.5x5 inches inches for the photos taken with my dslr and other 35mm cameras. These are not only for the Art Walk...if you are interested in any of these are have a photo that you have seen on my site, please contact me. I have more ink coming this week and can print them and mail them to you. Be Well.

Today was the 11th anual Dragon Boat Races here in Toledo. I was fortunate enough to race 3 times as a volunteer sub, which means I filled in for teams that were missing members. It was the most fun I've had in awhile...I love paddling boats. These were the dragon boats tied up before the "Eye of The Dragon" Ceremony took place. The drums are beat on by the drummer that keep the rhythm so the 20 paddlers can stay in sync to become one massive machine. If done correctly it can be an overpowering experience. This was shot with my HTC phone using Pixel-O-Matic and then transferred over to Instagram.

Kudu are found in the woodlands of southern Africa, where their diet consists of grasses, leaves and some fruit. This one however was hanging out in Port Clinton, Ohio. He probably heard of boating season and wanted to partake in the summer festivities. Sony 350a dslr.

Here is another photograph that I got from the African Safari in Port Clinton, Ohio. A big thanks to my wife for a steady hand at the wheel while she was driving. Sony 350a dslr camera.
Every once in a while Toledo manages to look pretty amazing. This is the view of the little skyline of Toledo, Ohio last night. We were all eating down on the docks, after we finished up training for the annual Dragon Boat Races, to celebrate my wife's birthday. F.Y.I. The Dragon Boat Races are this Saturday from 8 to 3 if you want to go watch and have fun and my wife's birthday is July 16th if you want to send her any presents.

Some of you may have seen my Think series of graphic design work. I was more than thrilled to go down to the Columbus College of Art and Design and see that they had the same thing going on. Now I really want to get my masters in photography there. This was taken with my LaSardina 35mm camera using Rite AId Film.

This is the newest member of my bonsai gardena blue star juniper. I got it yesterday from the garden center and trimmed the roots way back and pruned up the branches quite a bit to start it's training to become a bonsai tree. It is going to have to grown for a few more months before I can prune anymore. This is the first tree that I have attempted to train.

My wife stopped the care at just the right time for me to get this shot last weekend at the African Safari in Port Clinton, Ohio. If I only had some carrots in exchange for this portrait that the giraffe gave me.

Another one of the many creatures that we met on our African Safari adventure in Port Clinton, Ohio. He wanted carrots but all I had for him was a camera lens pointed up his nose. I had never seen one this close before in person...amazing creatures.

This alpaca, which I was unfortunate enough to not get his name, was more than happy to pose for his portrait shot. He was sporting his new haircut, which looked to be about a week old. He has a very nice forward comb going on.

This is another shot from the African Safari in Port Clinton, Ohio. It appears we got there just after the alpacas were freshly shorn and they all had very nice haircuts. This one has a nice thick curly top and sideburns. Wait till you see the haircut on tomorrow's photograph.

My wife and I took a day trip yesterday down the road a bit to Port Clinton, Ohio where we visited the animals at the African Safari. Most adults go to these places for their kids..not my wife and I...we don't have kids..in fact we are the kids..and we had a blast. You get to drive your car very slowly, stopping where ever you want, or stopping because a giant bison is blocking your way like one car we saw, or because 20 alpacas are surrounding your car trying to get food. Let me tell ya, it was a bit startling when you are looking through a lens of a camera and the next thing you know there is an animal sniffing your hair through the back window. This is Giraffe. He was very nice and wanted mostly carrots, I kind of wanted carrots also but we settled for Lake Erie Perch, he settled for the pellet feed that we had.

I took a trip recently from Toledo down to my Mom's house to drop off Japhy for his summer haircut, and then down to Columbus to meet my wife at her massage therapy seminars and to hang out with my sisters. Sometimes me along in the car is not a good idea with cameras around and when the sky is blue with big cumulus clouds hanging overhead. I kept pulling off to the side of the road and photographing the areas that I grew up in. This is about 5 minutes outside of my hometown, New Washington. This was shot with my trusty LaSardina Camera using Rite Aid 35mm film.

If more people practiced the art of bike riding we would have less arthritis. If more people practiced bike riding more people would feel healthier. If more people practiced bike riding we would have less car pollution. If more people practiced bike riding we would not have as much road rage. If more people practiced bike riding we would have less obesity. If more people practiced bike riding we would have more people noticing things along their path that they never noticed before from their car like for instance they sunflower that happens to be growing out of the crack next to the stop sign down on Lambert Street.

I took this shot yesterday, another phone photo, but I really am starting to enjoy editing these phone pics and bouncing them around in different editing programs. The bonsai garden, since most of them are quite young, and relatively small, got re-located to the back porch where they can get some shade and protection from the 101 degree sun. After relocating I snapped this photo of my newest bonsai family member, the money tree. So far I have not seen any money buds forming, but maybe when cooler weather comes.
