bonsai juniper

I recently got a new phone at the beginning of this week and have been experimenting with all the different tools that you can download for photography. I have bee pretty impressed so far..not enough to sell of all my cameras and just use my phone ones...forget that. But the photos do have a good quality to them with lots of editing options through the various apps that I am able to get for free. You can even spend a little time on the image...like we used to do in the darkroom...and edit the photo through different apps until you get the desired results that you want. This shot here is "Bonsai Juniper."

Yellow Pumps

I have been so busy lately that I haven't had any time to edit the few photographs that I have taken in the past week. I have almost a roll of film shot though, which should have so good stuff on it. Look for that this coming weekend. I am going to edit that after a morning hike at Oak Openings with my cameras. Sunday morning I think a morning bike trip with the cameras around the city.

This is called "Yellow Pumps". I shot this in Royal Oak, Michigan at some little trendy shop. Vinyl fuck me pumps. Practical and yet Stylish. This is one of my favorite shots from last summer. Photographed with my Kodak Brownie Hawkeye using Fuji 120mm film.

Old Tractor and Barn

This is from the last roll of film I got processed that was shot with my LaSardina. An old tractor on Les's farm up in Michigan. I'm going to leave you with this post for a few days while I do a bit of vacationing.

No Panhandlers Please

I thought that I had posted this a few months ago but either I'm too tired to find it or I am mistaken. This is for the Photo Friday photo assignment which is "words". This was taken in Chicago's Chinatown district. This was in a shop window and was taken with a Sony 350a dslr.

Nicole Ann Arbor 2012

My wife and I love going to Ann Arbor. We try to get up there about once a month if it is possible. There is great food and markets to visit...let alone a chance to escape out of Toledo for a little bit. This was shot with my LaSardina 35mm camera using Kodak Gold 400 iso film. We were eating lunch at an Irish Pub out on the sidewalk.

Front End

I have come across a lot of Mercury Comet's this spring in my explorations around Junkyards, city streets, and now rural farm areas. I found this one hiding behind my friend's landlord's barn up in Michigan a few months back. This was shot with a LaSardina 35mm camera using Kodak Gold 400 iso film.

Summer Avocado #7

For some reason most of my food photography is in color..ironically enough..when I first started taking photos I hated color and would only work in black and white.

Z28 #2

Shot with my LaSardina camera using Kodak Gold 400 iso film. This was shot at one of the A-1 Auto Wrecking in Crestline, Ohio. I liked this shot a lot but my thumb had gotten in the way in the upper left side..so I did some vintage vignetting and now you can't even tell. Dodge and burn, dodge and burn.

Motorcycle

I got this role of film processed yesterday. I always enjoy getting a roll of film processed because I am never quite sure what is on it. With digital cameras you know right away...in fact after every shoot I take off the images and start working with them..not film. With film I throw the film roll into my basket and wait until I have time and money to get it processed, this could be a month or so later by the time I am actually viewing what I shot. This is a bike from A1 AutoWrecking in Crestline, Ohio when I went down on the last day of winter to tromp around the junkyard scene in mid-Ohio. This bike is in pretty good shape to be in a junkyard so I'm hoping it belongs to the owner or something and isn't there to stay.

pigmy goats

It just so happened that I had a rain day today..so no work in the mowing business..so I finally managed to get a roll of film processed that I shot on my LaSardina 35mm camera. This was shot was from Angola, Indiana, where we spent Memorial Day Weekend. Despite the 90+ degree weather this little pigmy goat was not shy of my camera...maybe he is a camera enthusiast.

Summer Avocado #3

S.B. Basement

Here is an old poster that I made in honor of the S.B. Basement font. This was for college around 2006 I due believe.

Avocado

This avocado was in it's hey day today sitting out on the picnic table in 93 degree weather with the sun beating down on it...maybe it thought that it was back in Mexico were it spent so many days hanging from a tree growing up into the ripe avocado that it is today.

Shiva Lord of Destruction

I came across this when I was redoing my portfolio website. This was a project for school where we had to use found objects off the internet and then create motion with them. Naturally I used Lord Shiva God of Destruction....and lots of flames. This was done probably around the time of 2007 perhaps.

singing choir

I ran out of new stuff to post today. I have a few rolls of film that need to get processed but unfortunately I have not been able to get them done yet. However the birds out side that were singing this morning told me to post this image. It is from 2010 and was shot in my Mom's backyard. Mamma Robin built a nest up on the porch so I was able to sneak up on a ladder and get this shot of the babies waiting for Mamma to bring home more food.
