This is from the hike at Oak Openings. Just finished up a days worth of editing and organizing. I have plenty of images to edit. I just may go back out there hiking again this Sunday morning and explore more.

Yesterday was full of hiking around nature preserves very early in the morning. This shot was taken at Oak Openings as the sun was starting to pop out from behind the tree line. I thought the quote from Gibran was quite fitting for this image and for the way I felt yesterday.

It's 5:30ish in the morning and I woke myself up after 4 or so hours of sleep to head on out to the biggest, sweetest park that we have in Toledo to explore the sand dunes during the wee morning hours. I have been looking forward to this all week long. This is a shot from either last summer or the summer before..can't remember right now.

This is from four or five years ago. A great show, that's for sure. I will be shooting a lot this weekend so there will be lots of new stuff in the next week or so. I am going out to a big nature reserve early Sunday morning to hike around and then I'll be shooting food all afternoon.

These are the last three shots that I finished up from the coconut shoot. Tonight it's going to be a session with good ol' pineapple. I should have grabbed something else from the market but there is always another day.

Here are some more shots for the book that I am working on that I finished up last night. Once I put out this next issue of Splat Art Magazine I will be shooting fruits and vegetables like mad for a few weeks to start wrapping this project up..or at least get a good start on it. Tonight I am going to go photograph Jeff Stewart for our project that we are working on together up at Fusion Bistro. So expect a shot or two of that event in the next few days.

Here is another shot from the "coconut shoot" two nights ago. I found that the coconut was very interesting to shoot because of not being able to overexpose the shot two much to get the brightness due to the fact that the inside is so sooth and white. However the outside is so full of texture and different shades of brown. After I got this all figured out I was able to start getting some good shots. Sony 350a dslr.

I finally got some new shots done last night and a few of them edited before turning in. It had been awhile since I had opened a coconut before and ...well...let me tell ya, it was a little harder than I had remembered. I thought that it might actually be a littler easier because there were score marks around it, which some kind soul had so graciously put there for me, but turns out it was just a nice guide. But after about 40 minutes I got the sucker open...drank the milk inside with a Modelo Especial...gave the coconut a good rinse and then went to town shooting.

This shot makes me want to go back to Hawaii and not come back for a long time. Taken in Oahu, Hawaii. Tonight I will be shooting Coconuts and Papayas. I thought this was a fitting image to get ready for tonight's shoot. Sony 350a dslr camera.

This is from 2010...and one of my all time favorite photos that I took. This was shot with a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye box camera from the early 50's using Fuji 120mm film. The location is New Washington, Ohio...my parent's neighbor's backyard. I bought a mango and a coconut yesterday so be on the look out for more food photographs to be coming this week.

John Barile is a guitar player that used to let me play during his set breaks when I was much younger. He is a fantastic guitar player and songsman. He knows how to play a tune inside and out...that's for sure. This was taken last year at the 2011 Acoustics for Autism Benefit at the Village Idiot in Maumee, Ohio.

This is a sunset shot from the Outer Banks, N.C. that I got on a camping trip on the sound side. Our campsite was directly on the beach about 20 feet from ocean. One of the best campsites that I've ever had in my life.
More new work will be coming in the next few days or so. This was shot with my Sony 350a dslr.

This is from last summer. Shot with my sony dslr. I found this in a public garden down by the Toledo Art Museum one morning while cruising around on my bicycle. My portfolio website is getting closer to being finished. Let me know what you think of it. I still have to figure out the coding for the top left to change the design box of the drop down menu and put in my own logo...but in due time. I have 3 or 4 more galleries to add yet. Those should be done this weekend. http://ryanwarnereyemusic.blogspot.com/

http://ryanwarnereyemusic.blogspot.com/ I actually haven't had much time to do much shooting so today's image will be from my archive. I actually forgot about this photograph. I took it two years ago downtown Toledo. It is two different photos that I put together. Shot with my Sony 350a dslr.

I missed a post yesterday due to not being home all day and then when I did get home I was ever consumed to master the coding for my portfolio page. It is not done yet..I have a lot more work to do..but you can check it out here if you'd like. http://ryanwarnereyemusic.blogspot.com/
But yesterday was Easter and we had a good one with lots of family and lots of food. I also was blessed to get a new camera from a friend of my wife's. A Hachi KX-66. If anyone knows anything about this camera please write to me and tell me what you know. It has a plastic lense and a motorized drive to advance the film.it's kind of like a motorized Holg..only it shoots 35mm and doesn't have any means of focusing. The camera was never used and stored in the lady's garage for probably 30 years or so until I got my hands on it. For some reason I don't understand the film advancement...which I mentioned was all motorized so as you can see the images overlaps...or maybe the lab guy cut it wrong..not sure at all about this. Anyway these are two of the only shots that came out from yesterday. Jack and Japhy enjoying the sun in the backyard.

I thought that I posted this earlier, but I guess not. This week's theme on Photo Friday is "from my window" which made go to find this photo on here to post, which it wasn't here....but now it is. The view from our 36th floor hotel room in downtown Chicago. Shot with LaSardina Marathon camera using Kodak 35mm film. I don't remember what kind though.
I am currently in the process of redoing my portfolio site, so if you happen to go to it in the next week or so you will see that it's kind of a mess. However I did just finish up my new logo that will also serve has the image for the homepage this morning.

This old barn is located in Ida, Michigan on the farm that my friend lives on with his family. I had the pleasure to get to walk around their landlords property photography whatever I wanted. Unfortunately the weather didn't provide the best lighting for shooting but some of the shots came out pretty nice. I would love to go back up and shot again either right at sunrise or sunset...preferably sunrise I think.

We spent the morning and day yesterday with our friends Mike and Amanda out at the farm that they live on. There are more photos to come of old cars and farm equipment...but I thought this was nice to take a break from the photos that I have been posting. This is their goldfish that hangs out in the kitchen. Sony 350a dslr.

Another old truck found at Frank's Auto Wrecking. This is the last of that photo shoot. Headed out to my buddy's farm right now with a bag of cameras. If the rain holds off it should be some fun shootin'. If the rain doesn't hold off well, we'll just have fun.
