Past It's Prime

Another shot from Frank's Auto Wrecking in Crestline, Ohio. I'm going to try to get up State Route 23 to hit up another old car burial grounds that is located between Toledo and Ann Arbor. This will probably happen in a few weeks when things slow down a bit and the rain goes away. Shot on 35mm film with my LaSardina Marathon, with 400iso film from Kodak Gold.

Building Next to the Oliver House

I see this building everyday on my into work and out of work and have always loved the texture and coloring of it.  I finally got a decent it photograph of it a few weeks ago while going into work. I think the grey sky adds to the warehouse's appearance. Shot with 35mm film 400 iso Kodak gold with LaSardina Marathon camera.

snow dog #3

This is a submission for the photo blog "Photo Friday" If your not familiar with it, it's a blog that gives you one word every Friday and you interpret that word with a photography. It's a good way to keep the creative juices flowing and to keep you shooting. This is Japhy of course, when he was a puppy playing with his frisbee after a big snowstorm . He was 2 or 3 here.

Old Bike and Tire

One of my favorite things to photograph...and ride for that matter...is old vintage bikes. I love searching for old bikes in bigger cities when traveling, and when I find them ...well...it's very cool. I was surprised to find this gem at the junkyard..it actually appears that with a little love this bike could be restored and return to it's glory days of cruising around the street. If anyone out there loves fixing up old bikes go save this one before it's too late.

Travels With Japhy

This is Japhy, best friend, caretaker, kitchen helper, and baby of the house. We decided to go visit my wife's parents across town a few weeks ago. I wanted to feel what it was like to have a chauffeur, so I sat in the backseat with him. He gets nervous on car rides, which is why he is wearing his thunder jacket..it is meant to feel like he is being hugged...but he was more excited that I was riding in the back with him..good thing I had my camera with me. Images shot with my LaSardina 35mm camera.

Walking To Vito's

These were shot the day after St. Pattie's Day while walking with my LaSardina 35m camera to pick up lunch from Vito's Pizza. These are about 5 minutes from our house. Apparently people in the neighborhood do not like fire hydrants as much as me or my dog Japhy because I sure got some strange looks while I was crouching down to capture this fine specimen of a water propeller. The sign I just couldn't resist taking a photo of...with the angle and the sign above it and the sort of grey sky...what can I say..I got a thing for street signs.

exploring frank's auto wrecking with my lasardina

I got some 35mm photographs done last night of my explorations around Frank's Auto Wrecking. The more  that I use this little LaSardina out in the daylight the more I love it. Nice little plastic lense camera and pretty consistent.

japhy out walkin'

Got some film back today...shot with my LaSardina 35m film camera. This was fun to take..Nicole and I just started getting over being sick for a week or so and the weather broke 70 for the first time this year so we went for a walk. I probably looked a little weird laying on the sidewalk to take this photo...oh well I'm used to that.

Frank's Auto Wrecking

These were all taken at Frank's Auto Wrecking in Crestline, Ohio using a Sony 350-A dslr camera. I should be getting some film developed tomorrow or the next day with more images from these junkyards...I forget what else may be on that film also...guess we'll see.

living in the junkyard

I got some more photographs edited from this past Monday stomping around junkyards. These are from the same two places as yesterday but I told them that I would site their names, so they are from Frank's Auto Towing and A-1. I love how a place thought to be so ugly could produce such beautiful images.

jUnkyarD

Here are some shots of the old cars that have been retired to the junkyards of Crestline, Ohio. The top photo is from A-1 and the bottom one was taken at Frank's Auto Wrecking. I can't wait for the weekend when I will have a bunch of time to get all of these shots edited.

Mustang

Shot this yesterday at Frank's Auto Wrecking in Crestline, Ohio. This is the only shot that I got edited yesterday before crashing out from a long day out in the sun. Crazy..the last day of winter and it was 81 degrees. There will be more work from this session coming soon.

spring growth

These are some shots take yesterday out at Swan Creek Park around the flooded river. Trees starting to bud up and come out of their dormant period. Getting ready to head back home with Japhy to go expore and old junkyard...got a bag with 6 cameras in it...I hope that's enough.

strawberrys #3

I finally got a new photograph up here. Finished this up just a bit ago and this is the last of the strawberry and pomegranate shoot. I went out today and tried to get some spring shots of new growth and nature stuff...not sure if anything is good yet or not. Tomorrow I head back home with Japhy to check out this junkyard that I got permission to go shoot in...there should be some good stuff there.

more think art

Here is some more think posters from the archive. Tomorrow back to new stuff.

Think

Here are some think posters from the archive. Think is sort of an alter ego of some sorts. We did not have the internet today due to a pretty loud thunderstorm, but she's back up and running tonight so I thought that I'd throw these poster up here. I may have some new work up tomorrow...I'm mostly over being sick now finally but am not sure if I'll have time to edit tomorrow...but new stuff for sure this Sunday.

down the tracks

This probably should have been included in yesterday's post..but my brain is quite fuzzy from the dang head cold that seems to be growing worse everyday. This is from back home around my hometown..New Washington, Ohio. I took my wife out to show her the area that I grew up in...she thought it was odd being a city girl. Ha..we had fun though.

grass drops

I still have a cold so here are some more archival photographs. These were taken right before this past Christmas. These are of some cat grass that I grew inside for our cat David to eat. I brought out my macro filters and had some fun capturing the water drops on the blades.

rural america

Here are two images from last year's body of work. I know that I said that I would have some vegetable pics up but this cold has left me stuffy and very unmotiviated...therefore your stuck with archive photos. The top one was shot in Angola, Indiana last summer with my Cannon tlb slr camera. The bottom one is from my hometown in New Washington, Ohio with my Sony Alpha 350 dslr.

david

David is on of our cats. He likes to sleep on Nicole's massage table...in fact he has pretty much claimed the massage room as his. These are of him relaxing on the massage table when the sun broke out on a cloudy day and came in through the window. Sony Alpha dslr camera.

God's Palette of Colors #2

I came across this shot while doing some organizing this morning on my laptop. I shot this in the Outer Banks, North Carolina on a camping trip to the sound side. We camped in Frisco and this was the view from the front of our tent. Pretty amazing. So I'm posting this in honor of warmer weather coming. Image captured with my Sony Alpha 350 dslr.
